Lego The Hobbit Video Game Coming in 2014

Lego The Hobbit Video Game Coming in 2014Warner Bros. Interactive has announced Lego The Hobbit is currently in development at TT Games and will be available on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, Wii U, 3DS, PS Vita, PC and Mac in 2014 to compliment the Lego The Hobbit toy line.

Lego The Hobbit will follow the events of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug, the latter of which is being released in theaters on December 13. As with other movie or comic-themed Lego games, a large selection of characters will be playable including Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield, Gandalf, and all the Dwarves, and key locations from the films will be represented including Goblin-town, Rivendell, High Pass over The Misty Mountains and more.

Other features for players to experience include “solving countless puzzles, partaking in Treasure Quests and battling with Orcs, Trolls and fouler things,” as well as crafting magical items, building “immense” Lego structures, and mining for gems and picking up loot.

The 2014 release date is expected to be this upcoming spring. While we wait for a firm release date, it’s satisfying to see the next Lego video game coming to Xbox One and PS4 considering how great Lego Marvel Super Heroes looks on the newly released consoles.
