Johnny Depp’s whimsical performance as now legendary Captain Jack Sparrow has always seemed a perfect fit for the jovial worlds developer Traveller’s Tales creates for its movie-inspired Lego video games. This summer he’ll finally get “bricked” in a Pirates of the Caribbean Lego game which you can take a first look at below.
The game will span all four Pirates of the Caribbean films including this summer’s Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, which it is being developed and released to coincide with. As in previous Traveller’s Tales Lego games, you and an optional mate will traverse settings based on the Pirates films and take out baddies, solve puzzles and create your own mish-mashed characters.
Traveller’s Tales Lego games are great fun as evidenced by the short teaser trailer below. Captain Jack Sparrow certainly knows how to make an entrance.
Lego Pirates of the Caribbean is in development for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and other platforms. Lego building sets themed after the Pirates of the Caribbean films will appear in stores this summer when the game and Stranger Tides film is released.
