Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is headed to Nintendo’s Wii U this spring and stands to benefit greatly from the addition of a second screen.
Gotham City is a big place to explore in Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes that requires countless map checks to see where you’re at. In the Wii U version, the map will be persistent on the GamePad so you can simply look down to get a read on your position within the city without having to interrupt the flow of the game.
The GamePad will also allow for character swapping directly from it, again removing the extra step of having to exit the main game to a menu screen in order to switch characters.
The Wii U version of Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes will also support remote gameplay on the GamePad, as well as cooperative play where one player is watching the main screen and the other the GamePad, thus removing the need for split-screen play that cuts each player’s viewing area in half.
It does not appear that TT Games will be building in any exclusive new content or adding exclusive characters for the Wii U version of Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes.
