The first official one-sheet movie poster for Kevin Smith’s Cop Out with Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan hit the web this evening (via IGN) and it rocks one of the best tag lines of recent memory.
Rock Out With Your Glock Out
Smith promises Cop Out will be full of the director’s signature filthy language, insults and jokes. It was even originally aptly A Couple of Dicks. Yet Warner Bros. has valiantly tried to tone down the vulgar heading into its release, first with the name change to Cop Out and then with a general audience first look theatrical trailer that looked more like a Tyler Perry movie than Smith cocktail of obscenities.
What Cop Out really needs is a straight up hardcore red-band trailer with too many four letter words to count. Something to get Smith’s fans genuinely riled up and excited. At least this rather ingenious tag line that sounds like something Smith would fart out in his sleep is a step in the right direction.
