Judy Greer Negotiating for Role Alongside George Clooney in Tomorrowland

Judy Greer Negotiating for Role Alongside George Clooney in TomorrowlandJudy Greer is on director Brad Bird’s radar for a role in Tomorrowland (formerly known as 1952) to the point where negotiations are currently underway for her to join the cast.

If signed, and typically actors and actresses who reach the negotiation stage are, Greer will be joining George Clooney, Britt Robertson and Hugh Laurie in a high concept film from the minds of Damon Lindelof and EW’s Jeff Jensen, with Lindelof writing the script. The project ties into the Tomorrowland area at Disneyland, though to exactly what extent remains under wraps.

Greer is a busy woman in Hollywood of late. She will be seen this fall in the remake of Carrie, in next summer’s Dawn of the Planet of the Apes playing the role of Cornelia, and provides the voice of Cheryl Tunt in FX’s hit animated series Archer. If the Tomorrowland role turns out to be the female lead, it could be a big boost to Greer making the jump from supporting roles to higher profile ones.

Tomorrowland is currently in preproduction with Disney already locking in a December 12, 2014 release date.
