The Clash of the Titans sequel has finally landed a director after Warner Bros. spent much of the summer zeroing in on and landing their guy.
Jonathan Liebesman will step behind 3D cameras to direct Clash of the Titans 2. He previously directed The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, The Killing Room and Battle: Los Angeles, a hyped big action film that won’t hit theaters until next year.
Clash 1 stars Sam Worthington and Gemma Arterton are expected to reprise their roles. Red Riding Hood (starring Amanda Seyfried) scribe David Leslie Johnson, Dan Mazeau (The Flash and Jonny Quest) and The Green Lantern co-writer Greg Berlanti worked on the treatment that Johnson and Mazeau are now turning into a screenplay.
Shooting on Clash of the Titans 2 should begin in the first half of 2011 with a release date in 2012.
