Midway’s upcoming Playstation 3/Blu-ray Disc film crossover ‘Stranglehold’ appears to have hit another snag. The ambitious project coupling a complex next-gen game and a 1080p version of the Chow Yun-Fat/John Woo film ‘Hard Boiled’ on the same Blu-ray BD-50 disc was not mentioned in the latest Midway press announcement. The Xbox 360 version lacking ‘Hard Boiled’ was mentioned, though, and is still on track for release later this month.
Midway has commented the PS3 version of ‘Stranglehold’ is still coming out, though an exact date has yet to be determined. All they can confirm now is it’s expected in stores before the year is out. Whether that means October or December remains to be seen.
