Paramount Home Entertainment has announced plans to bring the 2010 Dreamworks Animation film How to Train Your Dragon to Blu-ray Disc and DVD on October 15.
The spring blockbuster starring the voices of Gerard Butler, Jonah Hill, Jay Baruchel, America Ferrera and Christopher Mintz-Plasse racked up just under half a billion dollars at the worldwide box office thanks in part to the up-charge on 3D showings. Despite its 3D success, the initial Blu-ray release will be 2D only as Paramount has yet to get their feet wet in individual Blu-ray 3D titles as of yet.
How to Train Your Dragon on Blu-ray will be released as a combo pack with the DVD version included. Bonus features including Blu-ray exclusives are outlined below. Tech specs have not been confirmed at this time.
