The end of Harry Potter’s magical box office run is afoot and only tonight do we get our first extended look at the final theatrical installment, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.
Up until now Warner Bros. has teased the 8th Harry Potter film with a slim selection of images, brief sneak peeks and an opening scene preview clip on the Deathly Hallows Part 1 Blu-ray and DVD. The wait for the first full-length trailer has been a long one, but as you’ll see below, it was well worth every minute.
Much of the trailer focuses on the epic battle that will consume the final act of Deathly Hallows Part 2. From the looks of it, this sequence will be nothing short of “epic.” Warner Bros. and director David Yates have held nothing back in ensuring Potter’s farewell is a memorable one.
Potter fans will be most pleased by multiple Snape sightings in the trailer, an integral character to how the Potter saga ends who was practically nonexistent in Deathly Hallows Part 1.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 will be the first and obviously only film in the saga released theatrically in 3D. It stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Helena Bonham Carter, Tom Felton, Ralph Fiennes and Alan Rickman. Look for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 in theaters beginning July 15.
