Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 Blu-ray Pre-Orders Trump Tron

The boy wizard Harry Potter has cast a powerful spell on Amazon’s Blu-ray bestsellers chart that no identity disc was able to deflect.

At some point over the past day or so, Amazon began taking pre-orders for David Yates’ Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 starring Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson on Blu-ray. It didn’t take long for the second-to-last Potter film to leapfrog all three Tron: Legacy Blu-ray skus and assume the number one sales spot.

Amazon has priced Deathly Hallows Part 1 at $24.99 or 31% off the $35.99 list price. The package includes the Blu-ray version, the DVD version and a digital copy. Warner chose not to complete the post-production 3D conversion that was halted when they ran out of time prior to the film’s November theatrical debut.

As for Tron: Legacy, two of its three skus are still in the top 10 but they’ve slipped to the 5 and 6 spots. The most popular five-disc sku that includes the Blu-ray 3D version and Tron: The Original Classic has been pushed back by not only Potter but Disney’s Tangled and Beauty and the Beast (currently on sale for $18.49).
