It still hasn’t quite set in that Sony’s Gran Turismo 5 is actually coming out next week. November 24, to be exact, just in time to clear your Turkey Day and days off afterward to drift around corners until your eyes can stay open no longer.
No Gran Turismo 5 PS3 reviews have hit the web yet but there are isolated reports of the game seeping into the hands of the public or press already. One such scooper at GTPlanet is claiming Gran Turismo 5 will require 6.4GB of your PS3 hard drive when first installed and take between 40 and 50 minutes to complete the process. Ouch! Once you get playing additional data will unpack and write to the hard drive pushing the space taken by GT5 to upwards of 10GB total. Better clear off some old game and Blu-ray data before popping this puppy in.
Elsewhere on the net I stumbled upon the first unpacking video of the game from from either the UK or Europe. The poster backs up the legitimacy of this video with a second video featuring the Eiger rally. No posts have been made since as he probably can’t pry himself from the game.
