It has been a long time coming. Sony is going to distribute a high profile Playstation 3 game demo via a movie on Blu-ray Disc.
On December 29, all copies of Neill Blomkamp’s on Blu-ray Disc will include a *playable* demo of Sony’s highly anticipated 2010 PS3 game God of War III. Upon completion of the demo, a featurette about the game will be unlocked.
The initiative is designed to entice PS3 gamers who have thus far shunned Blu-ray Disc technology for movie watching to check out the format. The God of War franchise has sold over 8.7 million units thus far and District 9 is one of the most anticipated Blu-ray releases this holiday season.
