Today Microsoft’s Xbox 360 European community manager Graeme Boyd announced the worldwide release dates for Epic’s Gears of War 3.
In every country where video games are sold except Japan, Gears of War 3 will be available on September 20. Japanese gamers will have to wait two extra days to get their hands on the game when it hits their country on September 22.
Gears of War 3 is expected to conclude the core Gears of War trilogy (though never count out spin-offs) and answer many of the lingering questions raised during the first two games. Rumors continue to float around that there may be a Kinect control element to the game though nothing has been clearly confirmed or denied to date.
With Gears of War 3 on September 20 and the Star Wars Saga debuting on Blu-ray a week later, late September is shaping up to be a hell of a good time.
