Fox has singled out ‘Fringe’s’ core audience and they’re locked into finding out who wins the battle between parallel universes.
In ‘Fringe’s’ second appearance on Friday nights, the J.J. Abrams-conceived sci-fi mystery show match its first Friday ratings with 1.9 million viewers in the adults 18-49 demographic. As with last Friday night, Fox won the evening in the advertiser-preferred demo despite the ‘Fringe’ lead-in, ‘Kitchen Nightmares,’ dropping 11%.
There are still many more Fridays and months before Fox will ultimately make a decision on whether to renew ‘Fringe’ for a fourth season. If ‘Fringe’ can maintain its Friday night dominance, the hopes for more adventures from Olivia Dunham and the Fringe team on their new previously conceived “gone to die” night are promising.
