With Guitar Hero III, Rock Band, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Halo 3, and countless other games stealing the spotlight this holiday season, our minds subconsciously blocked out some of next year’s surefire hits.
One of those imminent blockbusters is Killzone 2, the Playstation 3 exclusive that Sony sent the gaming world ablaze with a pre-rendered CGI film passed off as gameplay footage, then set the record straight with nearly equally stunning actual gameplay footage. Pre-rendered footage or not, there’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that Killzone 2 will be a hit. Until we clear this year’s crowded field of A-title releases, Sony appears to be in no rush to pass along any new information or media.
It was a pleasant surprise to stumble onto this small batch of five new screenshots snapped from apparently the same footage previous screenshots were. There’s not anything particularly new or exciting revealed, but it’s nice to be reminded we have this game to look forward to in the hopefully not-too-distant future.
