First Look: The Hobbit Dwarves Revealed

Peter Jackson continues to use his personal Facebook account to offer exclusive production updates from the set of The Hobbit. The latest update is one of the best yet, offering a first look at a trio of characters who most certainly did not appear in The Lord of the Rings Trilogy.

Below is your first look at the dwarves Nori (Jed Brophy), Ori (Adam Brown) and Ori (Mark Hadlow) as they’ll appear in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Though these brothers share the same mother and are fiercely loyal to their bloodline, their personalities and motivations are vastly different from one another. Ori is the youngest and is constantly watched over by the oldest, Dori. Nori, meanwhile, is the mysterious one who always seems to be involved in sketchy dealings.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey starring Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins will arrive in theaters on December 14, 2012. The second and final film, The Hobbit: There And Back Again, debuts a year later on December 13, 2013.
