Eagles Headline Dec. Guitar Hero World Tour DLC for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii

The Eagles, Nirvana and The Smashing Pumpkins are all on tap to receive additional songs via download this month on Guitar Hero World Tour for PS3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii.

Smashing Pumpkins will bow first on December 4 with a three-song pack including “G.L.O.W.,” “1979” and “Everlasting Gaze.”


A week later on December 11 will see Nirvana make its DLC debut with a three-song pack including “You Know You’re Right,” “Negative Creep” and “Sliver.”

The Eagles three-song track pack, slated for December 18, will include two classics and one song off their new Walmart-exclusive album The Long Road to Eden. The songs are “Frail Grasp on the Big Picture,” “One of These Nights” and “Life in the Fast Lane.”

Each of the three-song track packs will cost 440 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360 and $5.49 via the Playstation 3 Store. The songs will also be available individually, the only way to get them on Wii, for 160 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360, $1.99 on PS3 or 200 Wii Points on Wii.

And finally, as a special Christmas gift from Activision to you, three Reggae songs will be available for free download on December 23: “Jimi” from Slightly Stoopid, “Your Face” from Pepper and Expendables’ “Sacrifice.”
