Electronic Arts, sensing the arrival of this June’s World Cup tournament and what will become a stale version of FIFA 2006: Road to the World Cup by then, announced today 2006 FIFA World Cup is wrapping up and will be in stores next month for a host of platforms, including Xbox 360. Given the short development time look for the same core gameplay as seen in RTTWC, with of course the World Cup rosters and even some other small tweaks.
One noteworthy addition is a new Global Challenge mode that requires players to complete 40 classic World Cup moments. The results will be uploaded to Xbox Live leaderboards. For additional features and tweaks check out the game detail page here.
