E3: New Xbox 360 SKU Triples Hard Drive to 60GB

Microsoft has finally come out and confirmed strong rumors of a price cut to the original 20GB Xbox 360 on the eve of E3 in Los Angeles. The price change is effective immediately and will stay in place while supplies last.

Replacing the original 20GB Xbox 360 will be a new 60GB model priced at the old 20GB mark of $349. The Elite model retains its $449 price and 120GB hard drive.

Microsoft made no mention of embedding a Blu-ray Disc player in an upcoming new Xbox 360 SKU which backs their “not coming” position when questioned by the media.

Look for more Xbox 360 news tomorrow from Microsoft E3 Media Briefing which we’ll be attending.
