E3 07: ‘Scene It?’ Coming to Xbox 360; New Controllers Revealed

In a move sure to echo that of Nintendo’s hugely successful strategy, Microsoft Game Studios announced at their E3 Press Conference that the ‘Scene It?’ franchise will be coming to Xbox 360 this holiday season under the name ‘Scene It? Lights, Camera, Action.’

The home console-based version is being developed from the ground up by Screenlife Games and WXP, and will feature over 1800 questions that have never appeared in a previous version of the game. Xbox 360 will somehow keep track of questions asked to minimize the odds of repeats.

Movie clips are touted as appearing in high definition, though since this is a DVD-based disc and no resolution was cited, we’re guessing 720p at best. And of course with Xbox Live connectivity, you can look forward to new question packs being available for download at a later date.

The big surprise is ‘Scene It? Lights, Camera, Action’ will come packaged with four newly designed “Big Button” wireless controllers, yet still maintain the standard new game SRP of $59.99. You can check out an image of the new controllers in the screenshots, or click through the game details below for a high resolution look at the rotund box.
