Duke Nukem Forever Demo Release Date June 3, with a Catch

Breaking a longstanding string of varying release date delays, today 2K Games and Gearbox Software delivered some good news regarding the hotly anticipated sequel that has taken over a decade to come to fruition, Duke Nukem Forever.

Beginning June 3, exactly 11 days before the game is released in North America (it comes out June 10 internationally), members of the First Access Club will be able to dive right into the Duke Nukem Forever demo on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 or the PC via Steam. How do you join First Access Club, you wonder? You’ll need to commit some dollars in the form of either pre-ordering Duke Nukem Forever from an authorized retailer, or going out right now and buying the Borderlands Game of the Year Edition on either of the three platforms.

Missing from the Duke Nukem Forever demo announcement is what the demo entails. We’re assuming it will be a single-player mission, but it could also conceivably be a multiplayer affair. Instead we get a Gearbox Software announcement video that’s a followup to their previous video unveiling the final release delay.

Pre-order Duke Nukem Forever on the platform of your choice at Amazon.com.
