Doctor Who: Series Seven, Part One starring Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill premiered this past Friday night with the new episode ‘Asylum of The Daleks.’ It’s garnering some strong critical and audience reviews, and would you believe it will be coming to Blu-ray and DVD before the year is out?
Warner Home Video has surprisingly announced a November 13, 2012 release date for Doctor Who: Series Seven, Part One. That will put the first part of Season 7 into home roughly six weeks after the mid-season finale on September 29.
The Blu-ray edition of Doctor Who: Series Seven, Part One is a two-disc set that will include all five episodes from the September run: ‘Asylum of the Daleks,’ ‘Dinosaurs on a Spaceship,’ ‘A Town Called Mercy,’ ‘The Power of Three,’ and ‘The Angels Take Manhattan.’ Each episode will be presented in 1.78:1 1080p video and 5.1 Dolby Digital audio.
I can confirm that Doctor Who: Series Seven, Part One Blu-ray and DVD bonus features include The Science of Doctor Who featurette, Doctor Who at Comic Con, as well as some Bonus Scenes.
