Django Unchained Trailer from Quentin Tarantino Fights for Freedom

Django Unchained Trailer from Quentin Tarantino Fights for FreedomThe second trailer for Django Unchained hit the web yesterday and painted a clearer picture of what Quentin Tarantino’s wild west adventure is gunning for.

Jamie Foxx plays Django, a slave whose path crosses with German bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz). Schultz is after the Brittle brothers needs information from Django in order to determine their whereabouts. In return, Django is freed and trained by Schultz to become his deputy.

Instead of tracking down the Brittle brothers, Django leads Schultz to the plantation of Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio). This deceptive move is no mistake as Candie happens to be the owner of Django’s wife (Kerry Washington), and he fully intends to free her at any cost.

There’s an unexpected moment in the new Django Unchained trailer when Jonah Hill makes an appearance amongst a large group of KKK members. Hill was a late addition to the cast and looks a little out of place given the rest of the trailer. Knowing Tarantino, Hill’s role will make more sense once we get to see it in full rather than a quick glimpse.

Django Unchained rides into theaters on Christmas Day.
