Disney and IMAX have announced a new pact that will see a trio of upcoming 3D Disney films released on IMAX screens in 2011.
The films include Pixar’s Cars 2, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides with Johnny Depp, and the animated Mars Needs Moms starring the voices of Seth Green and John Cusack.
The announcement offers definitive proof that Cars 2 will arrive in theaters in the 2011 calendar year, most likely June 24. There had been reports earlier this year that Cars 2 had hit production snags and was being pushed back to at least December 2011.
