Seemingly every retailer that sells video games is currently offering pre-orders for Microsoft’s Xbox 360 Kinect camera accessory with a price of $150. Yet Microsoft maintains their stance that any Kinect pricing showing up at retailers is “speculative.”
Now the same $150 pre-order offer has shown up on Microsoft’s official online store in what could be the most convincing evidence yet that the price point is correct. Surely Microsoft would not allow their own store to advertise Kinect with incorrect pricing.
The listing even contains a breakdown of Kinect’s features and will be in the box: Kinect sensor for Xbox 360, power supply cable, user’s manual and wi-fi extension cable. Seems like all that is missing at this point is an official press release from Microsoft and a picture of that Kinect box.
