Dexter and Homeland Ratings Rise for ShowtimeDexter and his new Sunday night accomplice Homeland continue to not only perform well in the ratings in their sixth and first seasons, respectively, but pick up viewers week after week.

Dexter starring Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter continues to sharpen his blade with 2.45 million total viewers on Sunday, with 1.98 million of them tuning in for the 9pm airing. That’s a 10 percent bump from last week. The 5.11 million total weekly viewers across all platforms such as DVRs, On Demand, etc. puts Dexter ahead of its Season 5 pace.


Homeland with Claire Danes, Damian Lewis and Morena Baccarin yet again set a ratings record for the young series with 1.33 million viewers in its 10pm timeslot and a total of 1.61 million for the night. That’s a 23 percent increase from the series premiere. Factoring in all viewing platforms, Homeland has averaged 4.1 million viewers per week with Dexter as its lead-in.
