Chris Weitz has added a big name to the Twilight franchise which was first hinted at nearly two months ago when Dakota Fanning made it known she was interested in joining the series.
It appears a deal is done to bring aboard Dakota to play Jane, an immortal member of the Volturi ancient Italian clan of vampires.
Dakota will presumably appear in the next three Twilight films reprising the role, one for which she’ll need to look identical as the character does not age in the books. Dakota’s recent growth spurt should aid in creating that illusion.
New Moon will begin principal photography this month and arrive in theaters on November 20.
