Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will serve as the launching platform for D-BOX to expand into two new markets.
Beginning on July 15 when the sixth Harry Potter film opens, D-BOX Motion Code will debut at the Cineplex Odeon Queensway in Etobicoke, Canada and Galaxy Cannery Theatre in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Harry Potter is the third film to feature D-BOX Motion theatrically behind Fast & Furious and Terminator Salvation, the latter also from Warner Bros. Pictures. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be the first family-targeted D-BOX film.
With the addition of Canada and Las Vegas, the total number of theaters equipped with D-BOX will rise to six. Other theaters already equipped with D-BOX include Mann Chinese 6 Theatre in Hollywood; UltraStar Cinemas in Surprise, Arizona; Galaxy Highland Theatre in Austin, Texas; and Theatres at Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota. If you live or are traveling near one of these theaters then I encourage you to stop by and take in a movie sitting in one of the D-BOX motion control chairs.
D-BOX Motion Code has been available for years in home entertainment beginning originally with DVD and later with Blu-ray Disc. You can get a better flavor for what D-BOX offers by checking out our growing collection of Blu-ray movie D-BOX reviews.
