Today Amazon.com kicked off a week of Cyber Monday deals that will stretch all the way to Saturday, December 3.
Amazon used the same strategy with Black Friday last week. Rather than focusing solely on the one big shopping day, they released a variety of deals throughout the week around Black Friday.
Some of the best deals didn’t appear until Black Friday, and I suspect the same will hold true for Cyber Monday. I’d love to see the Sony Playstation 3 bundle with two games for $199 return as it was barely available on Black Friday before showing up as out of stock.
Some of last week’s big gaming deals are still hanging around. Xbox 360 Kinect with three games (Kinect Adventures!, Fruit Ninja and The Gunstringer) has been sitting in the top or second spot on Amazon’s best selling video game deals since it went live on Friday. Other popular deals have included Dance Central 2 for $29.99, Battlefield 3 for $39.99, Xbox 360 4GB Console with Kinect for $295, and two Skylanders figures for $10 total.

Over on the Blu-ray side, X-Men: First Class continues to be a hot seller, as does Inception, The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy Extended Editions, Harry Potter: The Complete 8 Film Collection and Jurassic Park Ultimate Trilogy. All of these titles are currently discounted, but the real deals are coming via Lightning Deals throughout each day. We’ll report on those separately as they are launched.
