Monday’s Paramount announcement that will put Braveheart and Gladiator onto Blu-ray Disc September 1 has arguably been the most significant thus far for the second half of the year.
To followup that announcement, I have added new cover art images for Sapphire Series Braveheart with Mel Gibson and Gladiator with Russell Crowe below. There are two images for each; the first with the slipcover on, and the second with it off.
Already these two titles are proving to be hot sellers at online retailer Amazon.com. At the time of this article, Gladiator stood firmly in the top hourly bestseller slot while Braveheart holds the number three position.
The third Sapphire Series title due on November 3, Forrest Gump with Tom Hanks, is also selling strong. It currently resides at number seven.
