Captain America: The Winter Soldier Poster Now, Trailer in Two Days

Captain America: The Winter Soldier Poster Now, Trailer in Two DaysMarvel Studios has opened their secretive hatch and released the first official Captain America: The Winter Soldier one-sheet movie poster. Additionally, they have announced that the first teaser trailer is set to arrive this Thursday, October 24, and will be available via iTunes Trailers.

The Captain America: The Winter Soldier poster shows the first Avenger standing in the rear deployment area of an airborne S.H.I.E.L.D. quinjet, as noted by the big S.H.I.E.L.D. emblem on the hatch’s floor. Beyond Cap’s view is the city of Washington. D.C. with a massive helicarrier hovering above the Potomac River. That will be an amazing sight if it happens in the film, and I doubt Marvel would put it on the poster if it didn’t.

The S.H.I.E.L.D. presence on the poster is important as the secretive government agency is expect to play a big role in the film. Samuel L. Jackson as director Nick Fury and Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow both have meaty roles, and the film will also introduce Anthony Mackie as Falcon, a likely addition to the Avengers team.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. The Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 2 film will land in theaters on April 4, 2014.

We’ll pass along that first Captain America: The Winter Soldier teaser trailer as soon as it’s out in the Internet wild.
