Capcom Announces Multiple ‘Lost Planet’ Map Packs On The Way

Capcom continues throwing their full support behind ‘Lost Planet: Extreme Condition’ by unveiling plans for seven new map packs which will be released over the next several months. In addition, the “Battleground” map originally only available with the Collector’s Edition will be made available for free download sometime within the next few months.

The first pack will cost 400 Microsoft points and be available for purchase and download via Xbox Live Marketplace on March 9. The pack will contain the first two new multiplayer levels which, based on ten screenshots released for each, offer environments balanced between mech and foot combat.

The two new maps are described as follows:

Radar Field
A close quarters facility which is under construction and has a giant radar that provides a peak vantage point.

Island 902
A sprawling Pacific-themed battlefield with several islands connected by bridges as well as vast underwater areas.
