Call of Duty: Black Ops Trailer is Here

Game studio Treyarch is accustomed to filling in the gaps between Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare games with their own unique take on the venerable cash cow franchise. Thus far they have played it fairly straight and simple with games set within distinct geographical territories and wars.

The trailer for their just-announced latest entry, Call of Duty: Black Ops, looks more like a Modern Warfare game than Treyarch’s previous Call of Duty titles. As rumored, there appears to be sequences set during the Vietnam War in the quick glimpses of action the trailer teases. There’s also combat in an arctic environment as well as something going on above the atmosphere with a stealth jet. And all this imagery is being triggered by some devilish doctor who has a soldier tied up in a futuristic lab. Who saw that coming?
