Variety is reporting Bruce Willis is currently in negotiations to star in Lionsgate’s big screen adaptation of Eidos Interactive’s Kane and Lynch: Dead Men videogame for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
If the negotiations pan out, Willis will take on the role of Adam “Kane” Marcus. The role of Lynch has yet to be cast.
Rumors first surfaced last November that Willis was being considered for the role. Those same rumors placed Billy Bob Thorton as Lynch. Now wouldn’t that make for a crass pair.
Daniel Alter and Adrien Askarieh will produce the film for Lionsgate, the same pair behind another Eidos game adaptation, Hitman.
No director has been tapped, but a script is in the can and shooting is expected to begin before year’s end.
