Online retailer Amazon.com is planning to feature high definition products all week long in their Gold Box daily deals section.
A message relayed on Amazon message boards from The Gold Box team reads as follows: “Here is a deal week to get excited about! Have you thought about upgrading your home theater to High Definition or do you just want to add some Blu-ray movies to your collection? From June 8 – 12, the Gold Box will be featuring great deals on a variety of High Definition items in all of the Deal of the Days and Lightning Deals. Don’t miss it.”
I expect the deals to range from individual Blu-ray Disc movies to collections of Blu-ray Disc titles to hardware including televisions, Blu-ray players, a/v receivers and maybe even Playstation 3.
As the message indicates, there are two types of Gold Box deals where these products will appear. The first is the Deal of the Day which speaks for itself. A product remains there all day at the sale price. The second, Lightning Deals, is only active for a few hours or until the product sells out — whichever comes first. The best deals usually appear here.
