The first trailer for Darren Aronofsky’s is here and it’s as spellbinding and trippy as you’d expect a ballet movie from the man behind The Wrestler and Requiem for a Dream.
The trailer begins elegantly with Natalie Portman engaging in some ballet moves you nor I dare attempt. Once rival dancer Mila Kunis is introduced, the tone and Portman’s character spiral into darkness. By the closing shot, Portman more resembles the devil than an aspiring ballerina.
