Looking to finally make the jump to 1080p high definition and leave DVD behind for good? If so, Walmart has a Black Friday 2012 deal for the cheapest Blu-ray player around and a one-hour in stock guarantee to back it up.
One of Walmart’s Black Friday doorbuster deals is a $38 LG Blu-ray player that you are guaranteed to own at that price as long as you get in line to purchase it within the first hour of availability. If Walmart runs out, you will get a raincheck for it at that price that will be redeemed when they get more in stock.
Other doorbuster deals include an iPad 2 16GB for $399, a 32″ Emerson LCD HDTV for $148, a 40″ Emerson LCD HDTV for $198, and a $688 Vizio 60″ Smart LED set, my best pick of what Walmart has to offer.
Digging deeper into Walmart’s Black Friday 2012 ad reveals a $149 Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure and Xbox 360 console bundle for $149, sure to sell like hotcakes. Walmart will also be selling an exclusive glow-in-the-dark Sonic Boom Series 2 Skylander figure for $9.99. I expect there to be plenty of these in stock on Black Friday and beyond based on how previous Walmart repaint exclusives have hung around on store shelves.
There’s nothing for Nintendo’s new Wii U console, but Walmart will be selling the old Wii for $89. A Playstation 3 bundle with two games – Uncharted and inFamous, is priced at $199. Those of you looking for something smaller to game on will find the Nintendo DSi XL gaming units on sale for $99.96, the cheapest they have ever been priced. Do note these will not play the new 3DS titles on them.
Walmart will have some great Blu-ray sales going including Rise of the Planet of the Apes and The Dark Knight, amongst others, for only $3.99. Game deals include NBA 2K13 and Assassin’s Creed III for only $25, about half of what their regular price is.
You can view the Walmart Black Friday 2012 ad and its deals here. Stores will open at 10pm on Thursday to kick off the Black Friday madness a little early.
