Following in the footsteps of 48 Hours arriving on Blu-ray recently, Paramount is dipping into the Eddie Murphy archive to release another 1980s classic on Blu-ray.
Paramount has announced that the 1984 original Beverly Hills Cop starring Murphy along with Judge Reinhold and John Ashton will make its Blu-ray debut on May 17. The two sequels are remaining in the vault for the time being.
Beverly Hills Cop on Blu-ray will be presented in 1080p video along with 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. On the bonus features side are a number of supplements but all of them have been available on previous home video releases. The complete list is as follows:
