Best Buy has gotten the jump on Black Friday in 2011 by making the majority of items listed in its Black Friday circular available online on Thanksgiving Day.
I jumped over to BestBuy.com and discovered that aside from the doorbuster deals that are labeled ‘in store only,’ all the Black Friday deals had gone live today and many are already sold out. Immediately I checked on the deal I had hoped to take advantage of, Nintendo’s Cosmo Black 3DS bundle with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D game for $179.99 (regular price: $199.99) and it had already sold out. The Flame Red 3DS with Super Mario 3D Land is still in stock, however, though there is nothing unique about that bundle (the Zelda bundle includes Hyrule etchings on the 3DS). Both bundles at the sale price put the game’s price at only $10.
Another sold out gaming deal sure to be popular at many retailers tomorrow is Sony’s Playstation 3 console with two games for $199. Other big game deals like Batman: Arkham City and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception for $29.99 had also sold out. Even the black Wii bundle with a game for $99 is sold out.
The Toshiba Blu-ray player for $39.99 is in-store only, though I’m sure it would have sold out in minutes had it shown up online.
Just because these deals are sold out at BestBuy.com does not mean they won’t be available elsewhere. Best Buy brick-and-mortar stores will have most of them all tomorrow, as will other stores like Target and Walmart.
Amazon.com has kept many of its home entertainment deals for Black Friday under wraps, but you can bet many of the Best Buy ones will show up there, too, including a dirt cheap Blu-ray player. Be sure to keep an eye on Amazon’s Black Friday sales page through tonight, tomorrow and into Cyber Monday.
