Universal Studios Home Entertainment has released high resolution “case” imagery for the upcoming Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Series set on Blu-ray Disc and DVD.
I have confirmed with Universal that the case you see below will be virtually identical for Blu-ray and DVD. Because the Blu-ray collection is five discs shorter than DVD at 20 versus 25, Universal has retrofitted the inner compartments to accommodate for the correct number of discs associated with each format.
Also confirmed the “Collectible Cylon Figurine” seen during the Complete Series commercial on the Caprica DVD will be included in the set. Though no specifics about this figurine are available as of yet, Universal is pumped for its arrival and calls it “very cool.”
You can barely make out the Cylon’s head and shoulders in the final shot below. He sits in the middle compartment and is made visible via a window on the case’s top side.
