Battlefield 3 Gameplay Footage: Tanks, Multiplayer and Frostbite 2 Features

EA and Dice’s Battlefield 3 made a big splash and point at E3 this past week. Modern Warfare 3 has a serious contender come fourth quarter for the top selling console and PC game of 2011.

Below are a trio of Battlefield 3 videos released by EA to coincide with E3 that give you a fresh taste of the gameplay to come. In “Operation Metro” you’ll get to watch around 30 seconds of multiplayer footage featuring vehicles, explosions and more. The second trailer outlines some of the features the new Frostbite 2 engine brings to Battlefield 3. Get ready for a crash course on scale, destruction, rendering and audio.

Last but certainly not least is the complete single-player video that EA debuted during their E3 press conference last Monday. This campaign mission involves piloting a tank into an enemy stronghold and runs over 8 minutes long.

Battlefield 3 will be released October 25 on Xbox 360, PS3 and the PC.
