Batman: Arkham Knight New Protagonist Revealed Plus New Interview

Batman: Arkham Knight New Protagonist Revealed Plus New InterviewWhen Rocksteady brings the Arkham trilogy to a close with Batman: Arkham Knight later this year, they will be introducing a villain and a batmobile created from the ground up. There’s more mystery surrounding the former than the latter, but both get new looks that you can check out below.

The Arkham Knight, at first glance looks like a robotic version of Batman. Rocksteady isn’t offering any details on this new villain that they created in conjunction with DC Comics, but the prevailing theory right now is that he was created by Hugo Strange or another villain to be the ultimate nemesis of Batman. Whatever the Arkham Knight ends up being he will look doing it as evidenced by the new screenshots.

The Batmobile looks familiar yet new, a blend of different styles that is wholly reflective of Batman’s personality yet truly unique compared to any Batmobile we’ve seen in any medium before.

In an interview with the official PlayStation Blog, Rocksteady notes that the Batmobile was designed to be virtually unstoppable. This means as you’re playing in Gotham City you can either choose to stick to the roads or plow right through a building. Next-gen consoles offer the power Rocksteady needs to make the environment destructible for the Batmobile to take advantage of.

Rocksteady has also made the Batmobile always a button push away. It doesn’t matter if you’re in the middle of a fight or on top of a building, one button press and the Batmobile will show up, ready for you to jump into it.

Batman: Arkham Knight arrives on PS4, Xbox One and the PC later this year.
