Our previous rumor post that suggested Australia would land on Blu-ray Disc in March has turned out to be right on the money.
This morning Fox Home Entertainment formally announced Australia will see a day-and-date Blu-ray Disc and DVD release on March 3.
Fans of the critically panned Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman drama who don’t own a Blu-ray Disc player will have to considering ponying up for HD as Fox has slated most of the bonus features as Blu-ray exclusives. The only extras to be found on DVD will be a pair of deleted scenes.

On the tech spec front, Australia will be presented on a 50GB disc in 2.35:1 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio.

Fox has priced Australia on Blu-ray at $39.99 which will equate to rouhgly $28 when it goes up for pre-order at Amazon.com.
