Assassin’s Creed 3 is selling like gangbusters for Ubisoft and proving to be one of the biggest gaming hits this holiday season.
Today Ubisoft announced that total worldwide sales for Assassin’s Creed 3 have topped 7 million total units. This includes the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC and Wii U versions of the game.
In addition, Assassin’s Creed 3 has become the fastest selling game in the history of Ubisoft. That’s saying a lot considering the hits they have churned out over the years.
Here are some neat stats passed along with the announcement: gamers have completed 82 centuries of gaming time and committed more than 3 billion in-game assassinations in solo missions, and have racked up more than 250 million assassinations in more than 5 billion multiplayer sessions.

Next up for Assassin’s Creed 3 is the DLC pack ‘The Tyranny of King Washington,’ coming in the first quarter of 2013.
