Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced plans to bring the imperial Russia drama Anna Karenina starring Keira Knightley, Jude Law and Aaron Taylor-Johnson to Blu-ray and DVD on February 19.
Anna Karenina, from director Joe Wright, opened theatrically on November 16 and went on to earn $11.1 million in a limited run that never expanded beyond 422 theaters. It will likely find new life on home video, especially given the talent involved and the respectable 62 percent approval rating at Rotten Tomatoes.
The Blu-ray edition of Anna Karenina will be presented in 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, and come package with a digital copy and UltraViolet. There are no known bonus features at this time, and may not be considering the film’s limited theatrical presence.
