March 18 got a little more crowded today as Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has formally announced that is the Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD release date for David O. Russell’s American Hustle.
Starring Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and Jennifer Lawrence, American Hustle has ridden a wave of critical praise and awards nominations, including 10 Academy Award nominations headlined by Best Picture, to earn over $133 million at the domestic box office. At the Golden Globes, American Hustle won Best Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Actress – Musical or Comedy for Amy Adams, and Best Supporting Actress – Musical or Comedy for Jennifer Lawrence.
The bonus features aren’t out quite yet, but we’ll be adding them when they are. Expect American Hustle to be presented in 2.4:1 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, and the Blu-ray edition will come packaged with the DVD and Digital HD versions of the film.
