AMC’s ‘The Killing’ Ratings Steady After Premiere

Ratings for the second week of AMC’s ‘The Killing’ murder mystery series dipped slightly from the two-hour premiere event, an indication that those watching the serial are intent on seeing it through to the conclusion.

‘The Killing’ attracted 2.6 million viewers Sunday night, just under the 2.7 million the premiere drew. Keep in mind that ‘The Killing’ premiere was the second-highest ratings score for an AMC original series behind the wildly popular and successful ‘The Walking Dead.’

Thus far ‘The Killing’ has been closely following the beats of “Forbrydelsen,” the Danish show it is based on. Even though viewers could go watch that show or read what happens to eliminate a two-to-three month wait for the big answers, the sustained ratings suggest they’d rather watch Mirielle Enos as Sarah Linden pick through the clues and solve the murder mystery of who killed Rosie Larsen.

The fourth episode of ‘The Killing’ will debut exclusively on AMC this upcoming Sunday, April 17 at 10pm. You can watch the third episode of ‘The Killing’ titled ‘El Diablo’ in its entirety right here at AMCTV.com.
