Amazon.com and Universal Studios Home Entertainment have decided to spur sales for the upcoming Jurassic Park Ultimate Trilogy on Blu-ray by lowering the pre-order price only a couple weeks after the sought-after set was announced.
Originally Amazon was pre-selling the Jurassic Park Ultimate Trilogy on Blu-ray for $55.99, which works out to around $18.67 for each of the three Jurassic Park films. Now the pre-order price is $49.99 or $16.67 per movie.
The price change, which appears to be a permanent reduction and not a temporary sale or promotion, has vaulted the Jurassic Park Ultimate Trilogy up Amazon’s Blu-ray bestsellers chart. It had been sitting around the bottom of the top 10 chart for the past couple weeks. The new lower price has it sitting in third place behind The Lord of the Rings Trilogy Extended Edition and The Prisoner: The Complete Series, the latter of which is on sale for this week only.
