Fox’s highly anticipated Alien Anthology Blu-ray set was officially announced for only a few hours before online retailer Amazon.com jumped on the opportunity to gobble up pre-order sales.
The list price for the Alien Anthology on Blu-ray is $139.99. Amazon is selling the set for $97.99 or 30% off the list price. That’s a pretty common discount off list that will probably stick from now through the set’s October 26 release.
The set has already leapfrogged over the Back to the Future Trilogy Blu-ray release and is now only behind Iron Man 2 on Amazon’s hourly bestsellers list. Can a nearly $100 set take the top spot? I think so.
