ABC is continuing their streak of offering Academy Awards 2019 live streaming via the Watch ABC app on tablets, smart phones and other mobile Internet connected devices through Dish Network, DirecTV, Cox Communications, Verizon FiOS, Google Fiber, and other big providers. You will need a satellite or cable provider in order to watch the Oscars live stream.

A popular way to watch the 2019 Oscars without cable is to try out Hulu with Live TV. With Hulu with Live TV you’ll get 50 hours of cloud DVR storage and a massive vast library of content and originals.

Additionally, ABC and the Oscars are offering Red Carpet All Access from Walmart which takes you behind-the-scenes. This second-screen experience begins at 6:30 pm EST and can be viewed here.

91st Academy Awards Predictions

Roma and The Favourite lead all films with 10 nominations each, including Best Picture. It would be a major upset if either of these films didn’t go home without at least one Oscars statue.

The entire roster of films vying for Best Picture include Black Panther, BlackKklansman, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Favourite, Green Book, Roma, A Star is Born, and Vice.

I think this race comes down to Roma and BlacKkKlansman with the former taking the prize. A dark horse would be Green Book.

Up for the Best Director Oscar are Spike Lee (BlacKkKlansman), Paweł Pawlikowski (Cold War), Yorgos Lanthimos (The Favourite), Alfonso Cuarón (Roma), and Adam McKay (Vice).

The most chatter surrounding Best Director has been between Spike Lee and Alfonso Cuarón. I think Cuarón will win by a hair.

Best Actor nominees include Christian Bale (Vice), Bradley Cooper (A Star is Born), Willem Dafoe (At Eternity’s Gate), Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody), and Viggo Mortensen (Green Book).

It seems like Malek is virtually a lock here. If anyone crept up and pulled off the upset it would be Bale. Even that seems like a stretch.

Best Actress nominees are Yalitza Aparicio (Roma), Glenn Close (The Wife), Olivia Coleman (The Favourite), Lady Gaga (A Star is Born), and Melissa McCarthy (Can You Ever Forgive Me?).

This seems like the big award that A Star is Born could win so I’m going with Lady Gaga. Olivia Coleman could sneak in and nab an upset.

The start time for the 2019 Academy Awards ceremony following the Red Carpet festivities is 8:00 pm EST / 5:00 pm PST.
